Ask God

There is incredible power in asking God for help.  The Bible constantly declares that God is waiting to help, desirous to help and ready to help.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  KJV

‘Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.   NIV

That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything.  Message

For this reason I say to you, All things whatsoever ye pray for and ask, believe that ye receive it, and it shall come to pass for you.  Darby

Because of this I say to you, all whatever — praying — ye do ask, believe that ye receive, and it shall be to you.  Young

Look at the incredible claims these passage makes.  We know God does not lie and this is His Holy Word.  What would happen if you asked God with this kind of confidence and assurance?

How would your life change if you quit vacillating, and making excuses for unanswered prayers?

Whatsoever you desire, whatever you need, whatever you ask for, all of these things can be added to your life.  You have not because you ask not.

Asking is not throwing words toward heaven.  It is not declaring things without confidence and committment. Asking is putting into words what you really need.  It is being specific, precise, and direct.

Example.  If you need a job. You don’t just say God I need a job.  You know what skills you have, you know what kind of work your able to perform so you ask according to those lines.  If you have been a car mechanic all of your life you don’t ask God to give you a job at the hospital as a doctor.  It would be foolish and unanswered.

So many people frustrate their prayers by asking for things they don’t need, or praying in a way that makes no sense.  If you go into the grocery store you don’t ask the clerk to go get you some groceries, you ask specific questions such as, where is the bread located, which way to the fruit section etc.

When you ask specifically you get directions.  When you ask generally you generally get no answers.  Look at these verses closely and then obey them.

God word works when we obey it.  When we follow His directives.  The next time you need help, ask according to the above verse and enjoy God’s great help.
